  1. Props Jay. Great music. I’m from a small “oil-town” in Alberta but it wasn’t until I saw an MCS show in Sault Ste. Marie, ON, in 2008, that I became a fan. I am proud to say I voted for you in the Great Canadian Song Quest and look forward to more “Sparrow-Songs”.

    Rockabilly forever,
    Goose

BTW I believe there is a small mistake on the website videos… Black Hole Betty is listed as being from the album, Dead Horse Disco. Was it not from the self titled EP? I would, however, love to see a video from the DHD album. Ciao.

  2. I thought of this post while listening to the MCS self titled album tonight and realized Black Hole Betty is not on the album as I had thought. I don’t see it in the audio files anywhere… is there a story behind this?

    Curious,
    Goose

      1. Hmmm. I hate to argue with the man who made the music, but Black Hole Betty is not on my copy of DHD. I checked the MCS web-site music player where each song is listed with the album it appears on. BHB is listed as “single”. My reason for bringing this to point is that I would love to have my own copy of the song but can’t seem to find access to it anywhere other than streaming from the websites.

        1. HAHA! Well your knowledge of my music seems to be better then mine! I stand corrected. My memory isn’t what it once was. I am glad you found a free download of the song. I always liked that one. Thanks for bringing to my attention Goose. Cheers… JS

  3. Hahaha, well, I am a HUGE fan of your music. Unfortunately, I only recently discovered all your solo work! Lovin it! DHD is still my favourite though… I tried sooo hard to go to the White release party, but alas, I was sorely let down about two hours before the doors opened. It sounds a little pathetic but I couldn’t listen to any of your stuff for about two days after… haha, my wife gave me a hard time about pouting at my age. Gonna try for the Bissell show but my baby girl is gonna be born soon… Happy Holidays! Goose

  4. Love your music Jay Sparrow and Band, the video’s are awesome too!! Look forward to many more awesome tunes from you all and hope you can make it down to Calgary, I’ll be there! Don’t wait too long, I’m getting old!! All the best to you always!
